Engage as a Travel Pharmacist on the California Central Coast serving a dynamic healthcare facility in San Luis Obispo, CA. This contract opportunity suits experienced pharmacists ready to provide essential pharmaceutical care in an inpatient setting. You will be key in ensuring safe and effective medication use, collaborating with healthcare teams, and supervising pharmacy operations.

Location:

• San Luis Obispo, California

Schedule Options:

• Pharmacist 1: Four 10-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
• Pharmacist 2: Seven days on, seven days off night shifts (9:00 PM to 7:30 AM)

Contract Details:

• Duration: 13 weeks with an ASAP start
• Type: Contract
• Travel flexibility required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Verifying medication orders for accuracy and safety
• Supervising pharmacy technicians and workflow
• Consulting with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapy
• Managing pharmacokinetic calculations and monitoring
• Utilizing pharmacy systems such as Cerner and Omnicell to document and manage medication processes

Qualifications:

• Valid California Pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year of current inpatient pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with Cerner and Omnicell IT systems preferred
