The position: We are seeking to fill a Housing Counselor position. We are looking for someone to provide customer service to applicants for SHA housing programs.
The Location: 101 Elliott Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119
The ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, social work, or related fields. May substitute an additional four years of relevant work experience for college level course work.
- Two years of experience in human services related non-profit public service, social services, human services, housing programs, or related fields.
What will you do?
- Conduct case management of challenging customers
- Provide information and referrals for community resources
- Analyze information needs of SHA applicants and of private market housing providers
- Develop and maintain relationships with service providers in the community
- Take leadership role in identifying barriers to access for people with disabilities, immigrants, and other SHA customers
