Opening & Prep / Store Maintenance Associate Position: Opening & Prep / Store Maintenance Associate
Schedule: Weekday mornings, with occasional weekend opening/shift coverage
Employment Type: Part-Time or Full-Time

About the Position

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking team member to help open and prepare our juice and wellness shop each day. This is a hands-on position focused on keeping the entire shop clean, organized, stocked, and looking its best while completing daily food-preparation and opening duties.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, staying active throughout the shift, lifting and moving supplies, working with fresh fruits and vegetables, and taking pride in maintaining a clean and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Opening & Store Preparation

• Open the shop and prepare the facility for the day

• Turn on and check equipment and machines

• Make sure the front of house is clean, organized, and ready for customers

• Check bathrooms and make sure they are clean, stocked, and presentable

• Prepare the back of house and food-preparation areas for the day's operations

• Make sure the walk-in refrigerator and storage areas are clean, organized, and properly maintained

Cleaning & Appearance

• Sweep and maintain floors throughout the shop

• Clean and maintain front-of-house and back-of-house areas

• Clean and maintain food-preparation surfaces and equipment

• Keep all machines clean and in proper working order

• Maintain the appearance of the shop both inside and outside

• Sweep exterior areas and use a leaf blower as needed

• Empty trash and keep trash/storage areas clean and organized

• Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming appearance at all times

Food Preparation

• Wash and clean fresh fruits and vegetables

• Sort and organize produce

• Transfer cleaned fruits and vegetables into designated storage containers

• Perform daily prep work for juices, smoothies, and other menu items

• Chop and cut fruits and vegetables using knives and other food-preparation equipment

• Follow proper food-safety and sanitation procedures

• Keep preparation areas organized and sanitary throughout the day

Receiving & Stocking

• Receive and organize deliveries and shipments

• Lift and move heavy boxes of produce, supplies, and equipment

• Store products in the appropriate locations

• Organize and rotate produce and supplies

• Maintain an organized walk-in refrigerator and storage areas

• Keep inventory areas clean and easy to access

• Takes pride in cleanliness, organization, and appearance

• Good attention to detail

• Previous restaurant, juice bar, kitchen, food-prep, janitorial, warehouse, or similar experience is a plus

• Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, sweeping, cleaning, and moving supplies.

The ability to regularly lift and move boxes of produce and other supplies is required.

Weekend Opportunity

During weekdays, this position will primarily focus on opening, cleaning, maintenance, and preparation .

For the right person, there may also be an opportunity to open and help run the shop on weekend shifts , including taking on additional operational responsibilities.

This is an important behind-the-scenes position that helps ensure the entire shop is clean, organized, prepared, and ready for business every day.
