Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
A state-of-the-art, 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for night shifts. This facility specializes in providing comprehensive treatment and recovery for patients who have experienced severe injuries or illnesses. The rehabilitation programs focus on delivering customized and intense care tailored to the individual needs of patients.
The LPN will work within a rehabilitation unit with a focus on maximizing health, function, and quality of life for individuals recovering from various conditions, including strokes, brain injuries, and orthopedic injuries.
Shift Information
- Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and support to patients in a rehabilitation setting.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Support patients with daily activities and rehabilitation exercises.
Qualifications
- Active LPN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1-2 years of hospital experience is mandatory; rehabilitation experience is preferred.
- Must be a critical thinker and possess strong problem-solving skills.
Unit Information
- Patient Ratios: 1 RN to 7 patients, 1 LPN to 10 patients, and 1 technician to 12 patients.
- Unit beds: 12-14 beds available for patient care.
- Utilizes Cerner for electronic health records.
First Day Instructions
- Scrub Color: Royal blue scrubs
- Time to Report: Confirm with the supervisor.
- Parking: Please utilize the outer perimeter for parking, reserving front spaces for patients and families.
