Summary Description Ensures the efficient operation of the school cafeteria; supervises staff; orders foods and supplies; oversees food planning, preparation and service; supervises point-of-sale terminal operation and financial reporting, and performs related work as required. May provide food services for one or more satellite site/ sites and/or operates a cluster school/s or a high volume location. Ensures compliance with all applicable District and Board policies and procedures and State, Federal regulations. Minimum Qualifications Trainee Qualifications: Requires High School diploma or GED; plus, two (2) years of experience in institutional food service and experience in food service supervision; must obtain ServSafe certification or Completion of the Tennessee Department of Education - Food Safety and Schools Certificate Program within one year. Upon successful completion of one year with ServSafe certification, the incumbent promotes from trainee to Supervisor School Nutrition. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED). Degree Equivalency Formula Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years plus required years of experience. Master’s Degree = 2 years plus required years of experience.
