Toolmaker

We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker for a medical device manufacturing company in New Britain, CT. This position will become a lead role (if not right away). The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience building, repairing, and modifying tooling (dies, fixtures, gauges) in a manufacturing environment. The ability to operate various manufacturing machines is required. The ability to read and understand blueprints is required. Knowledge of CAD/CAM software is preferred. ZPMLSTCM

salary: $80,000 - $105,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• Lead the build, repair, and modification of dies, fixtures, gauges, and related tooling
• Diagnose tooling issues, implement corrective actions and support preventative maintenance
• Review Prints, CAD models, and specifications
• Act as lead in the toolroom, set priorities within the toolroom and assist tool makers
• Perform precision machining using manual and cnc equipment
