Sales Engagement Specialist - Remote

We are seeking an outgoing, customer-focused Sales Engagement Specialist to support two Territory Managers and serve as an important connection between customers, prospective customers, and the sales team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who combines a science background with strong people skills. You might have experience in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, or a related field and have discovered that you enjoy the customer-facing and commercial side of science.

The role is a mix of i nside sales, sales support, customer engagement, lead development, and account coordination. You’ll communicate regularly with customers and prospects, learn about their needs, identify potential opportunities, and help Territory Managers keep relationships and sales activity moving forward.

What You’ll Do

• Support two Territory Managers with customer outreach, lead follow-up, and account activity
• Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable point of contact for customers and prospective customers
• Reach out to new and existing customers by phone and email
• Learn about customer needs and help identify potential products, solutions, or sales opportunities
• Qualify leads and gather information for Territory Managers
• Help develop new customer relationships and increase engagement within existing accounts
• Follow up on sales initiatives, campaigns, inquiries, and prospective opportunities
• Maintain accurate customer and sales activity information in internal systems
• Coordinate closely with Territory Managers to ensure customers receive timely follow-up and support
• Quickly learn technical products and communicate information in a clear, approachable way

What We’re Looking For

• Education or professional experience in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, life sciences, or a related scientific field
• Experience in sales, inside sales, sales support, customer service, account support, or another customer-facing role
• Comfortable speaking with customers and prospects over the phone
• Outgoing, personable, and able to build relationships quickly
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• Curious and eager to learn technical products and concepts
• Organized and able to support multiple priorities and two Territory Managers
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• A proactive, team-oriented approach

Who Could Be a Great Fit?

You do not need to be a career salesperson to be successful in this role. We’d love to hear from candidates with a life sciences background who enjoy talking with people and are interested in moving toward sales, account management, customer engagement, or the commercial side of the biotech/life sciences industry.

This could also be a strong fit for someone with inside sales or sales support experience who understands scientific terminology and can quickly learn technical products.

This is a long term contract role and could extend 12-18+ months. It is Monday-Friday, daytime hours.

Location: Remote – United States

Pay : $55-70/hr. based on experience
