Drivers are responsible for the safe and timely transportation of freight while maintaining compliance with all FMCSA and DOT regulations. This role requires a high level of responsibility, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and efficientlyTransport freight to designated locations on time and in good conditionPerform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of equipmentProperly secure loads and verify weight distribution complianceMaintain accurate ELD logs and required documentationComply with all FMCSA, DOT, and company safety regulationsReport delays, accidents, or mechanical issues immediatelyCommunicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and managementProvide professional customer service at all pickup and delivery locationsEnsure all bills of lading and paperwork are completed accuratelyQualificationsValid CDL Class A licenseCurrent DOT Medical CertificateMinimum [2 years experience and 24+ years of age]Clean driving record (no major violations)Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety practicesAbility to operate ELD systems and follow routing instructionsMust be reliable, punctual, and professionalMust be willing to obtain Hazmat, Tankers, Doubles, and triples endorsement within the 90-day probationary period.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods while drivingAbility to lift up to 50–75 lbs as neededAbility to climb, bend, and secure loads when requiredMust meet all DOT physical requirementsWhat We OfferCompetitive pay (based on experience)Consistent miles and reliable freightWell-maintained equipmentSupportive dispatch and management teamOpportunities for growth and long-term stabilityBenefits include: Health, Dental, Vision, and 401KWork ScheduleRegional and/or OTR routes available Home time based on route assignmentFlexible scheduling options (as available)J&J Trucking, Inc. maintains a strict safety culture and operates in full compliance with FMCSA and U.S. DOT regulations.
