Project Estimator

EstimatorApplied Composites (AC) is seeking an Estimator who will provide complete and accurate cost estimates that impact business decisions. Partners with other internal departments to estimate costs and profit for complex specifications/projects. Evaluates effectiveness of pricing strategies and modifies pricing structures as needed. If you are looking for a company that values and develops its employees while offering engaging work, Applied Composites may be the place for you.Job Accountabilities:Develops detailed project cost estimates including project complexity factors and key input data such as project objectives, scope and economic analysisTranslates the identified project scope and engineering deliverables into the estimate of capital expenditure costsCreates and establishes cost-monitoring processes that allow the company to track profit or loss for each projectManages reviews and audits of cost estimates, formulates, and validate methodologies for deriving quantities from design parametersExtrapolates cost curves based on firsthand experience of scheduled activities/cost correlation analysisEnsures that cost development policies and procedures are in compliance with government laws, regulations and management objectivesOther responsibilities as assignedJob Specifications:Education: Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Management or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectationsYears' Experience: 3 - 7 years of relevant experienceSalary range: $80,000 - $115,000 based on experience, skills, and levelSkills:Understanding of composites materials and manufacturing processes highly preferredStrong estimating experience and ability to perform complex analysisPrevious experience with CAD highly preferredAbility to read and interpret aerospace engineering models and drawingsAble to meet multiple and/or conflicting deadlinesStrong interpersonal skills to drive tasks to completion, excellent verbal and written communication skillsAt Applied Composites, we recognize how important your career and benefits are to you and your family.
