Job Description: Strategic Sourcing Consultant – Marketing & Public Affairs Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: 6 Months Work Model: Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote Visa Sponsorship: Not Available Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Consultant with a strong background in banking, contract management, and supplier negotiations to support Marketing and Public Affairs procurement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), and amendments while independently managing multiple sourcing projects in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end strategic sourcing, procurement, and contract management activities for Marketing and Public Affairs. Draft, review, negotiate, and execute commercial contracts, SOWs, amendments, and supplier agreements. Independently manage a high volume of 20–30 concurrent contracts and sourcing initiatives while meeting tight deadlines. Lead supplier negotiations, evaluate proposals, manage renewals, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Support sourcing categories including direct print, direct mail, print production, fulfillment, communications, public relations, and marketing services. Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and business stakeholders to resolve contractual issues and ensure regulatory compliance. Manage supplier relationships, contract approvals, project timelines, and stakeholder communications. Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, process improvements, and procurement efficiencies. Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or contract management. Banking or financial services industry experience is mandatory. Strong hands-on experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, SOWs, amendments, and renewals. Proven ability to manage high-volume contracting activities and multiple sourcing projects independently. Strong understanding of commercial contract terms, supplier negotiations, and contract lifecycle management. Excellent project management, stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and deliver results with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Experience sourcing Marketing, Brand Management, Public Affairs, direct print, direct mail, or fulfillment services. Experience with supplier negotiations, pricing analysis, category management, and cost optimization. Knowledge of banking procurement regulations, third-party risk management, and supplier governance. Experience using SAP Ariba, RFx tools, or contract lifecycle management platforms. Strong legal contracting knowledge or a Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPSD, or PMP. Top 3 Must-Have Skills Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Strong hands-on experience with commercial contracts, SOWs, amendments, and renewals. Banking Procurement Experience: Strategic sourcing and supplier management experience within banking or financial services. High-Volume Contract & Project Management: Ability to independently manage 20–30 concurrent contracts, prioritize deadlines, and coordinate stakeholders.
