Pine St Newport, WA 99156, USA Description Primary scheduled hours - Days, 80 hours per pay period Pay Scale: Compensation within the posted range will be determined based on relevant experience and internal equity considerations. Job Summary: Provides patient care in an office setting. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or physician. Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and office policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with physicians and team members about patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Essential Job Functions: Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a physician, evaluates outcomes, and consults with other health team members as required. Ability to assist nursing and medical staff with routine examinations and patient treatments. This includes neonate, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients and the general patient population. Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient's age. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the patients served. Education Background and Experience Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program. Required Licensure / Certifications: Medical Assistant Certification with the State of WA Required Experience: Strong Computer Skills. Typing accuracy. Preferred Qualifications: Urgent Care experience. Previous EMR experience. Knowledge of HIPAA. Proficient in taking Patient Vitals. Professional Requirements: Maintain regulatory requirements Report to work on time and as scheduled; complete work within designated timelines. Demonstrates the ability to adhere to the mission, ethics and goals of the District. Demonstrates the ability to communicate with patients, guests and staff in a courteous, respectful and helpful manner. Compensation/How We Care For You: Successful candidates typically begin between the beginning and midpoint of the compensation range dependent on qualifications/experience and receive compensation in increments increases annually.
