Accounting Manager

Job Description We are looking for an Accounting Manager to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below. This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented accounting leader who enjoys balancing hands-on execution with team leadership and process optimization. You'll play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy while helping modernize and strengthen accounting operations in a collaborative, fast-moving environment. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting activities, including general ledger and reconciliations
- Lead and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting documentation
- Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows
- Partner with FP&A and business teams to support financial insights and reporting
- Support audit activities and serve as a key point of contact for external auditors
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering growth and accountability
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience leading or mentoring team members
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and drive efficiencies
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- CPA certification or active pursuit preferred
