Staff/Legal Accountant-Orlando

Job Description Staff/Legal Accountant Join a growing professional services firm where you'll play a key role in accounting operations, financial reporting, billing, and compliance. This direct hire position is in Orlando, FL. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting activities, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close. Oversee accounts payable, including invoices, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements. Monitor accounts receivable, collections, and aging reports while resolving billing issues. Coordinate legal billing, including pre-bills, invoicing, adjustments, and client billing compliance. Administer trust accounting, ensuring accurate reconciliations and regulatory compliance. Support payroll processing, audits, and year-end reporting. Prepare financial reports, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and support audit and compliance initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3-5 years of accounting experience working in a law firm required. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills and legal accounting/billing software experience required. Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Highly organized with excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
