Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU

Location

Knoxville, TN | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 3x12s (7:30 AM – 8:00 PM, flexibility with times required) | On-call: 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM one night per week and one 24-hour call on Saturday or Sunday per 6-week schedule period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct post-anesthesia care and monitoring to patients recovering from surgical procedures
• Deliver total patient care with a patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2
• Utilize Cerner SurgiNet EMR for accurate and timely documentation
• Respond to on-call assignments as scheduled, including overnight and weekend call rotations
• Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia team to ensure safe patient transitions and outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (applicable to assignment state)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of critical care experience in PACU, ICU, or Emergency Department
• Ability to provide total patient care independently
• Must be flexible with shift start and end times
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with Cerner SurgiNet or similar perioperative EMR platforms
• Experience in a high-volume surgical or perioperative environment
