Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team in a property management company.
Busy property management company located in Tarrytown, NY seeking an experienced staff accountant to handle day to day responsibilities for condominiums, cooperatives and HOA’s in our portfolio. Knowledge of Skyline software is preferred. Also, must have knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Job package includes 2 weeks vacation, personal & sick days & 401K after 12 months of consecutive service which will be 2% matching 401K.
1. Journal Entries –Recording bank Transfers, miscellaneous deposits, ACH, utilities & interest income.
2. Bank reconciliations for properties: Record all direct debits for utilities, monthly interest and bank fees.
3. Prepare a financial statement package for board members between 1st & 15th of month.
4. Budget entries –Budget preparation and data entry for new budgets
5. Taking over the accounting of properties. Fully responsible to do the monthly entries in the General Ledger, bank reconciliations and financial statements :
6. Work closely with the boards monthly and handle all financial concerns via phone calls and emails.
7. Assist in setting up a new property – sending out appropriate bank forms to board members & setting up on our accounting software skyline.
8. Work closely with auditors for their end of year financial statements preparation for the properties.
