Location: McKinney, TXWhat You Will DoDevelop and implement MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs and perform associated tasks, analyses, and planningConduct hazard and design analyses to ensure compliance with system requirements, customer specifications, and military standardsCollaborate with customer safety representatives to clarify system requirements and ensure proper allocation to software, hardware, and test personnelCoordinate with customer safety representatives and Safety Review Board authorities to gain safety approvalManage System Safety Working Groups with Raytheon and customer representativesWork across integrated product teams and engineering disciplines, including Systems Engineering, Software/Firmware, Electrical, and Hardware Engineering, to eliminate hazards or implement effective controlsSupport safety efforts from program startup through production, demilitarization, and disposal phasesBrief safety considerations and program status during technical reviews and approval processesInterpret system requirements, specifications, and military standardsPrepare internal and customer-facing reports detailing safety analyses and program resultsWork within Special Access Program environments as requiredQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experienceExperience with System Safety Engineering and/or Software Safety EngineeringExperience with complex systems and evaluating them for riskQualifications We PreferExperience developing and implementing MIL-STD-882E System Safety Program tasks and analyses, involving management (task series 100), analysis (task series 200), evaluation (task series 300), and verification (task series 400). The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
