Bartender — Flying Figs Wine Bar

$20–$22/hour + tips

Flying Figs Wine Bar is a boutique wine bar in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights / Fillmore neighborhood. We’re looking for an experienced, warm, and reliable bartender to join our team.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, knows how to create a welcoming experience for guests, and can confidently manage a busy bar while maintaining a polished atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive, and professional service to our guests
• Take orders, serve wine, cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Prepare classic cocktails and wine-based drinks according to our menu
• Have a basic understanding of wine and be comfortable talking with guests about our selections
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar throughout service
• Prepare and serve simple food, including flatbreads, small plates, and snacks
• Handle POS transactions accurately
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Restock bar and service areas as needed
• Follow responsible alcohol service and food-safety practices
• Work closely with the team to keep service running smoothly during busy hours

What We're Looking For

• Previous bartending experience required
• Wine bar or upscale restaurant experience is a plus
• Friendly, confident, and genuinely hospitable
• Reliable and responsible
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
• Able to stay calm and organized during busy service
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Position Details

Location: 1870 Fillmore Street, San Francisco
Pay: $20–$22/hour + tips, depending on experience
Schedule: Primarily evenings and weekends
