Data Center Construction Project Manager

• Lead and manage design, preconstruction, and construction activities for assigned data center projects
• Manage multiple projects and maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports
• Create and communicate monthly development program and project updates for executive-level reviews
• Develop master development programs, campus design solutions, and capital budgets
• Manage entitlement and permitting needs
• Implement and manage multi-phased site development plans
• Write scopes of work and participate in procurement and project cost estimates
• Evaluate pricing proposals for design, construction, and commissioning services
• Coordinate equipment procurement and delivery
• Coordinate submittals with site stakeholders
• Monitor project budgets and cost-to-date
• Establish schedules and manage teams through on-time completion
• Review contractor pay applications and negotiate change-order pricing
• Establish site construction security procedures
• Develop and communicate product deployment plans
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Product teams on custom deal solutions
• Maintain relationships with QTS stakeholders and represent QTS in OAC meetings
• Support due diligence for potential new sites
• Enhance project management processes and protocols

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures Experience managing Lump Sum, Construction Management @ Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods from conceptual development through procurement to close out Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for executive-level program updates and Excel for site program and project budgets Able to be on-site 3–4x per week Able to travel up to 20–30% Experience with delivery of mission critical data center facilities Extensive experience with management of MEP trades MBA, Masters in Engineering, Management, or related field desirable Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in managing data center construction projects, including budget management, scheduling, and stakeholder communication. Proficient in commercial construction practices and project delivery methods, with a focus on MEP trade management and executive-level reporting.
