This job is full-time permanent.Job Responsibilities/AccountabilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for the following:Manage / lead a rotating shift operating teamEnsure the department is operated with the guidelines set forth holding both yourself and your employees accountable for resultsEstablish strong standards for your team, department, mill, and work system objectivesParticipate in and conduct the technical reviews of mill technician’s training on your teamParticipate in shutdown planning, work prioritization, and executionConduct and apply behavior modification standards as necessaryEnsure safe working conditions and behaviorEnsure reliable operation (both processes and equipment)Make regular rounds in all process areasCommunicate with and expect communications from technicians and managerParticipate in housekeeping auditsComplete and conduct training/selection evaluations and annual reviews according to Work System GuidelinesEnsure compliance with all mill and company policies and procedures as well as governmental directives and lawsCommunicate and support management decisionsAdditional duties as assigned by your managerProfessional Experience/QualificationsThe qualified candidate for Team Leader in the PR Area should possess the following:Minimum five (5) years of production/maintenance experience or technical degree with minimum of three (3) years of Pulp and Paper operational /maintenance supportExcellent safety record with a track record of being proactive in safety effortsExcellent work and attendance recordPossesses strong knowledge and support of the Work System with demonstrated leadership skills, such as task force/committee involvement, special projects, and community organizationsComputerized maintenance system experience (SAP, etc.)Possesses strong leadership qualities and good interactive people skillsExperience as a setup Team LeaderExcellent written and verbal communicationsYou will be required to successfully complete a selection process that could include interviews, an employment background check, a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen, reference verifications, aptitude tests (for some positions), and a fitness-for-duty test (for some positions).
