As a Lead Dining Attendant, you will carry out our Mission of Love by ensuring the care of our residents is provided in a safe, caring, timely, and appropriate manner by maintaining the appropriate competencies and skills through continuing education that encompasses all of these areas. This will include assisting our residents in reaching or attaining the highest potential in their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. Strives to satisfy residents/customer expectations in order to provide an excellent dining experience. Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to, best practices as designated by regulatory agencies. Provides administrative support services to his/her department in a professional and organized manner.

Our Lead Dining Attendant is responsible for the following:

  • Assumes responsibility of Supervisors in their absence. Assist managers in training and supervising Dietary personnel, enforces policies and procedures, directs and assist workers in cleaning assignments to maintain a clean organized working environment.
  • Embraces a leadership role amongst co-workers, proactively assists in problem solving, shows a vested interest in assuring best standards are being practiced. Offers suggestions for improvement and provides guidance to others when necessary.
  • Ensures the safety of food products by adhering to best practices with regards to preparation and storage of food. Monitors workstation to ensure area is compliant of the food storage policy, shelf life of food in service areas.
  • Monitors temperature of equipment and food and report all equipment service needs to supervisors so that corrective action can be taken. Ensures all food temperature logs are maintained and any deviations are noted and if necessary corrective action is initiated.
  • Supports supervisors by providing administrative support. Manages files and prepares written reports in an accurate and efficient manner, prepares and distributes correspondence, creates forms and completes other documentation as needed and directed, works on special projects and programs related to enhancing the quality of services, assists in developing, updating and standardizing procedures to be utilized in the office. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential, proactively assisting staff throughout shift, acquires needed items from Culinary Arts Centers.
  • Conducts pre-meal meetings, reviews menu with Dining attendants in absence of supervisors

What You Need as a Lead Dining Attendant:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Will provide on-the-job training
  • Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
