Please note that this position is subject to Covid vaccination requirements. The two main functions of this team are to support observability, developer collaboration, and other cloud infrastructure platforms; while driving adoption of site reliability engineering practices which seek to automate manual processes and improve risk management of applications and platforms.
Responsibilities:
Manage and respond to incidents and platform provisioning requests via ServiceNow. Automate manual platform management processes through scripting or programming. Support and troubleshoot Linux based and SaaS platforms. Coordinate installation and upgrades of Linux and platforms. Participate in a 24x7/On-Call rotation.
General:
Experience working in mid to large corporate environment. Senior level technical expertise. Can work independently with minimal guidance & oversight. Experience with IT Service Management and familiarity with Incident & Problem management. Demonstrated experience supporting and managing applications or platforms in a production cloud environment.
Required Technical Expertise:
3 years’ experience with AWS or demonstrated expertise. 3 – 5 years’ experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux based system in a production environment or demonstrated experience. Demonstrated proficiency with scripting and automation (bash, python, other programming languages). Familiarity with foundational technologies: DNS, Identity & Credential Management (Active Directory), networking, load balancing, firewall/security groups.
Preferred Technical Experience:
Experience with Ansible. Experience with GitLab & CI/CD pipelines. Experience with Agile. Experience with data analysis on Splunk. Experience with Grafana & Prometheus or other open-source observability tools. Experience managing Apigee.
