Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented AI/ML Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to d esign, develop, deploy, and maintain Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions that support business, operational, and customer-facing products and services .

What You'll Be Doing:

• Supports AI/ML program and project implementation efforts and makes significant contributions to department goals, innovation initiatives, and strategic planning activities.

• Designs, develops, trains, evaluates, and deploys machine learning and artificial intelligence models to solve business and operational challenges.

• Collaborates with data scientists, software engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders to define AI/ML requirements and solution approaches.

• Develops and maintains data pipelines, feature engineering processes, and model training workflows.

• Monitors model performance, drift, accuracy, and reliability in production environments and implements corrective actions as necessary.

• Investigates and resolves defects, performance issues, and operational incidents related to AI/ML applications and services.

• Oversees model testing, validation, and quality assurance activities to ensure solutions meet business, regulatory, and technical requirements.

• Supports MLOps practices including model versioning, deployment automation, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

• Evaluates emerging AI technologies, machine learning frameworks, and industry best practices to improve organizational capabilities.

• Ensures AI/ML solutions comply with security, privacy, ethical AI, and governance requirements.

• Documents model architecture, assumptions, performance metrics, and deployment procedures.

• Acts as a technical resource to managers, engineers, analysts, and other employees throughout the organization.

• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

​ What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.

• 8+ years of related professional experience in software engineering, machine learning engineering, data science, or artificial intelligence development.

• Advanced knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics concepts.

• Experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments.

• Proficiency in Python and common AI/ML libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras, Hugging Face, or similar technologies.

• Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and AI agent architectures preferred.

• Knowledge of MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, model monitoring, and deployment automation.

• Experience working with structured and unstructured data sources and large-scale datasets.

• Understanding of cloud-based AI/ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Azure AI, Google Vertex AI, Databricks, or equivalent environments.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Advanced time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience deploying AI/ML solutions in enterprise or production environments preferred.

• AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer, AWS Machine Learning Specialty, Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate, Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer, Databricks Machine Learning Professional, or equivalent certification preferred.

• Generative AI, LLM, or MLOps certifications preferred.

• A SECRET Clearance (or higher is preferred)

Salary Range: $125,100.00 - $225,200.00
