Assistant Electrical Designer - NIA

Job Description The Assistant Electrical Designer supports the design and execution of Network, Integration & Automation projects as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role contributes to planning, site evaluations, design development, and construction documentation across a diverse portfolio of projects and clients. Responsibilities Support electrical design efforts for data center projects, including routing, Wi‑Fi infrastructure, and coordination across project teams Design and model telecommunications systems, including: Inside and outside plant pathway infrastructure Equipment layouts Structured cabling systems 3D BIM/Revit models Set up and maintain telecommunications Revit models at project kickoff Develop engineering drawings from sketches, notes, and verbal direction using Revit and CAD tools Assist with design calculations, system sizing, and technical problem‑solving on complex assignments Produce initial designs, sketches, and redline markups with limited oversight Apply applicable design codes, standards, and specifications Coordinate with engineers, designers, and other disciplines to resolve design issues Support BIM coordination and ensure model quality, accuracy, and data integrity Track and manage drawing revisions and project documentation Deliver work within scope, schedule, and budget constraints Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience OR Associate Degree and 3 years of experience High School degree and 4 years of experience Experience designing in Revit Experience with Electrical OR telecommunications design – RCDD Certification We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
