Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 6 months of Endoscopy experience.

• High School completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medefis Program - Community Hospital (Grand Junction).

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: One of the following required: associate degree in Medical Assisting or Surgical Technology, Certified Nurse Assistant certification, or six (6) months of Endoscopy Technician experience.

Unit Details: Sterilizes and prepares procedure rooms, scopes, and equipment before and after procedures. Assists physicians and registered nurses during endoscopic procedures. Verifies equipment function, performs safety checks, and maintains and/or repairs endoscopic equipment. Collects and delivers specimens during procedures while maintaining the sterile field. Assists with patient intake, transport, paperwork, and recordkeeping of physician observations. Places vital-sign monitoring devices including blood pressure cuffs, surgical cautery pads, cardiac monitoring electrodes, pulse oximeter sensors, and nasal cannulas.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA)) or the alternative certification TS-C
