Operating Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 11 am - 11 pm Experience: 2+ years of current Operating Room experience, travel experience, EPIC experience License: Current New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate Certifications: BLS and ACLS Must-Have: - Strong skills in vascular and orthopedic surgery - Scrub and circulator experience - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs - Must have own vehicle Description: Epic experience is required. Experience must be clearly noted in submissions to prevent delays. A temporary health care service agency license from New York is required for submissions. Candidates must have completed training from a recognized group for onboarding and clearance. COVID vaccinations are encouraged but not mandatory. Operating room nurses provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care. Duties include patient assessment, maintaining a sterile surgical environment, and patient education. Nurses will monitor physical and emotional well-being throughout the surgical care continuum. The position primarily involves circulating, with additional scrub experience preferred. Patient population ranges from pediatric to adult. Experience required in various surgical specialties, excluding cardiac and ophthalmology. Average procedures performed daily amount to around 50. Requested time off must be noted upfront, as changes will not be approved later. Non-billable orientation estimates are 8 hours. Call is required, with a frequency of 1 call per month if needed. A supervisory signed reference from the past two years is required. Permanent address must be included in the profile and match the driver's license or state ID. Travelers from specific counties in New York will not be considered for assignments.
