Solar Technician I

Position Summary: The Solar Technician I will be the junior field service technician for CSS’ operations and maintenance of solar facilities. The Solar Technician Iis responsible forsupporting senior field staff in the safe andtimelycompletion of all service obligations, learning CSS company protocols, andrepresentingCSS in the field. Essential Functions: Prioritize safety daily and activelyparticipatesin site safety meetings Assistwith troubleshooting and repairing utility scale solar generators Assistwith commissioning, quality assurance inspection, or preventative maintenance work as needed Provide timely Field Service Reports back to Operations staff for delivery to clients Ensure a premium level of customer service Perform vegetative maintenance asrequired Participate inweekend and holiday on-call schedule Occasionalovertime work andovernight travelrequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiencyreading technical specification documents, site plans, & electrical schematics Familiarity with tools, terminologies, and processes associated with electrical andmechanical trade work Basic understanding of the principles of electrical theory and photovoltaic power generation General computer, network, and technologyproficiency Understanding & experience in the operation and concepts relating to electrical and mechanical trade work Clear verbal and written communication skills Team oriented attitude Values staff development and organizational excellence Minimum Qualifications: Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving recordtooperatea company vehicle Preferred Qualifications: First-Aid/CPR/AED
