Transportation Project Manager

Job Description AECOM is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to be based in Tucson, AZ. Job Description Summary Directs and manages the entire project, provides guidance to task leads and the entire project team, enforces company and project policies, and acts as the primary liaison between AECOM and client interface. Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments. Overall responsibility and management of the project, including but not limited to budget and schedule through contract closeout. Position has primary fiscal responsibility and is the key liaison between client for the assigned project. Responsibilities Work with local management to develop and execute project pursuits and delivery. Formulate and execute project opportunity capture strategies, including teaming and positioning for strategic pursuits and identification of required staff resources to win and effectively deliver projects. Establish relationships with both external and internal clients. Manage and mentor staff to enable seamless design and plan development. Be a visible leader and trusted advisor to clients by promoting AECOM’s values internally and externally. Possess excellent analytical, technical, and communication (oral and written) skills. Have a proven track record with client account management, project pursuit execution, and engineering staff development. Qualifications BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. 15+ years of progressive experience designing and delivering projects (preferred). Client relationships and business development experience (preferred). Experience as project manager on transportation projects with cities and counties within AZ (preferred).
