About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Competently perform routine and specialized sonography procedures of moderate complexity to produce quality diagnostic images for physicians and other healthcare providers
• Work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills on challenging diagnostic procedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner
• Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families/support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety while delivering optimal care
• May perform specific specialized procedures and/or assist in orienting other staff to the department

• ARDMS certification required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• EPIC EMR proficiency required
• Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience required
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility to be considered a local candidate; local candidates are accepted

• Experience performing both routine and specialized/complex sonography procedures
• Familiarity with cardiology and radiology imaging environments
• Experience orienting or mentoring department staff
