Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students across K-12th grade levels with individualized, 1:1 care as well as classroom assistance. This full-time role begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year. Work closely with a varied caseload, providing vital support in both classroom environments and tailored 1:1 settings. You'll make a positive impact on students from kindergarten through 12th grade, helping them reach their full academic and social potential.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Rhode Island Para and/or Teacher Assistant Certification (required)
• Previous experience in schools or related educational settings is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to support students in 1:1 environments, particularly in pediatric and behavioral contexts
• Experience assisting students across a wide range of grade levels, from kindergarten to high school
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, staff, and families
• Adaptability and initiative in dynamic classroom situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate, individualized support for students in both classroom and 1:1 settings
• Assist with classroom management, fostering a positive and safe learning environment
• Implement behavioral interventions and follow outlined student support plans
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure each student receives tailored assistance
• Support students in developing academic, social, and emotional skills
• Maintain accurate and confidential records as needed
