You will perform a variety of general labor tasks in an industrial outdoor environment, working closely with a team to maintain productivity, safety, and cleanliness across the facility.Shift: 7:30am-4:30pmPay Rate: $16-$17/hourMust be comfortable working outdoors### Responsibilities* Operate torch equipment to cut and break down scrap metal, when assigned to torch-related duties, following all safety guidelines.* Sort and separate metals by type and grade to ensure accurate processing and maximize material value.* Assist with loading and unloading materials, including scrap metal and related products, using appropriate tools and equipment.* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by regularly removing debris, sweeping, and following housekeeping standards.* Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).* Work outdoors in varying weather conditions while performing physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.Essential Skills* Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly throughout the workday.* Comfort working in an industrial and outdoor environment, including exposure to varying weather conditions.* Strong reliability with consistent attendance and dependable transportation to and from the worksite.* Willingness to perform general labor and production tasks in a fast-paced setting.### Work EnvironmentThis position is based in an active metal recycling yard and involves working outdoors in a physically demanding, industrial setting. You will work around heavy equipment, moving vehicles, and large quantities of scrap metal in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Conditions can include exposure to heat, cold, wind, and other weather elements throughout the year.
