The Position

Our bank client is seeking a Commercial Lender based in Dayton, OH. The successful candidate will handle a variety of C&I loans, assist senior officers with larger, more complex loans, and provide customer service as needed.

The position offers a salary up to $105K + Bonus and excellent benefits. (This is not a remote role.)

Commercial Lender responsibilities include:

• Developing and managing commercial loan accounts to meet lending requirements and ensure profitability with minimal risk.
• Soliciting commercial clients and actively seeking new business through calls, referrals, and cross-selling.
• Maintaining COIs and attending networking events in the geographic area.
• Generating various commercial and real estate loans.
• Contributing to deposit growth by cross-selling banking products.
• Analyzing customer creditworthiness and current loan merits.
• Reviewing title reports or surveys to identify issues and risks.
• Assessing financial status, credit, and property evaluations for loan feasibility.
• Meeting with applicants to gather information and answer questions.
• Guiding loans through approval and closing processes.
• Promoting bank products and services, including cross-selling and referrals.
• Representing the bank in the community through professional and civic involvement.

Skills and experience include:

• Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance, or related field preferred.
• Seven+ years of lending or credit support experience focusing on business relationships.
• Proven ability to generate $12MM–$15MM in annual C&I loan production.
• Credit training and underwriting experience preferred.
• Experience analyzing financial statements.
• Knowledge of sales, loan processing, and closing processes.
• Extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products, including C&I and Commercial Real Estate loans.
• Understanding of federal and state banking regulations.
• Ability to expand loans, relationships, and cross-sell products.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
