Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals.Schedule: Office is open seven days a week. This role would consist of a 37.5-hour work week, Monday 6:50 am to 3:00 pm, Wednesday 6:50 am to 10:00 pm and Thursday 1:50 pm to 10:00 pm. And Saturdays to 1:50 pm to 10:00pm. Schedule may change due to business needs.Location: 148 Sunrise Hwy West Islip, NY 11795Primary Responsibilities:Greets patients, family members and guests with a friendly smileAssists patients with signing in and completing registrationEnters and scans patient's demographic and insurance information into EpicVerifies insurance eligibility and benefit information; informs patients of insurance benefitsCollects co-payments and patient balancesAnswers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner; directs calls and takes messagesWork cohesively with fellow employees to achieve specific team goalsProvide effective communication to patient / family team members and other health care professionals as evidenced by documentation, case conferences, communication notes, and evaluationsAbility to be cross trained as a medical assistantAssists physician and clinical staff by coordinating follow up care for patients; schedules referral appointments for patients and obtains authorization for diagnostic testingAssists with other tasks as assignedWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
