Job Location: 1100 W. Washington Street, Suite 280, Phoenix, Arizona 85007. This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona, including in‑office hoteling, based on department business needs. Applicants must be able to commute and use the Phoenix office when required. Posting Details Salary: $54,000 – $57,000 (Grade 19, determined by experience) Position will remain open until business needs are met. Job Summary This role is one of several Housing Compliance Officers who monitor state and federally assisted rental properties for compliance with federal and state laws and guidelines. The position requires frequent and extensive travel throughout Arizona to conduct on‑site inspections and administrative reviews. The incumbent will prepare written reports, participate in training, update compliance materials, review annual reports, and maintain accurate monitoring files and database records. Job Duties- Monitor compliance of properties financed through the LIHTC Program, HOME, State/National Housing Trust Funds, and other public subsidies.
- Conduct physical inspections of residential units to ensure adherence to NSPIRE guidelines.
- Perform detailed administrative audits in accordance with HUD regulations and the HOTMA final rule, verifying income calculations, asset limits, and verification procedures.
- Follow up monitoring visits with written reports, training participation, and documentation updates.
- Maintain organized and complete monitoring files and database records.
- Adequate education or job‑related experience demonstrating the ability to perform duties.
- Experience or knowledge of LIHTC, HOME, State/National Housing Trust Fund programs, or prior property‑management/monitoring experience.
- Preferred certification in UPCS, NSPIRE, or HQS.
- Detail oriented, organized, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret State and Federal regulations, including the HOTMA final rule.
- Valid Arizona driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
