Field Operations & Fleet Management Technician

Paul Davis Restoration is seeking a skilled Field Operations & Fleet Management Technician to support our mitigation, reconstruction, and emergency response operations. This field-based role is critical to maintaining company vehicles and equipment, completing in-house construction and punch-list work, and responding to emergency stabilization needs such as roof tarping and board-ups. Key Responsibilities

Fleet & Asset Management

  • Perform minor in-house safety (exits signs, escape route, fire extinguishers)
  • Monitor vehicle condition, mileage, and safety compliance
  • Coordinate with vendors for major repairs while managing cost and downtime
  • Identify opportunities to extend vehicle lifecycles and reduce outsourced maintenance costs

In-House Construction & Punch-List Work

  • Drywall repair, texture matching, priming, and painting
  • Minor carpentry (trim, baseboards, doors, cabinetry adjustments)
  • Flooring repairs (LVP plank replacement, transitions, tack strip repairs)
  • Appliance installation (dishwashers, ranges, microwaves, washers/dryers)
  • Completion of job punch-lists to prevent re-work and additional subcontract mobilization

Emergency & Restoration Services

  • Perform emergency roof tarping and board-ups, including multi-story structures using proper safety equipment
  • Temporary weatherproofing to prevent secondary damage
  • Conduct non-engineering roof inspections for storm, fire, and impact losses
  • Photo documentation and measurements for project and insurance files
  • Support mitigation and reconstruction teams during surge or CAT events
  • Safety, Documentation & Team Support
  • Follow OSHA and company safety standards, especially for ladder and roof work
  • Maintain clear job documentation and photo records
  • Communicate effectively with project managers and office staff
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and materials inventory

Qualifications

  • Strong background in construction, facilities maintenance, or restoration
  • Comfortable working at heights and in emergency conditions
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize urgent tasks
  • Restoration or emergency response experience preferred

Preferred Certifications

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Ladder and fall-protection training
  • Roof safety training
  • IICRC certifications (growth opportunity)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $22$30 per hour (based on experience)
  • Overtime eligible
  • Company vehicle or vehicle stipend recommended
  • Training and certification investment provided
  • Opportunity for growth within a stable, mission-driven organization
