We care for you. Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high‑quality veterinary care and possess excellent communication and leadership skills to build lasting relationships with clients and staff. You will work alongside experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff and collaborate closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager. What We Offer Competitive salary: $150,000 – $180,000 Signing, retention, and relocation packages up to $75,000 Quarterly no‑deficit carryover production plan Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid parental leave (birth, adoption, foster) 401(k) with discretionary contribution Team member pet discounts Well‑being support, including Calm app access and 24/7 EAP CE stipends and career development resources Grant Circle relief fund for team members facing personal hardship Local hospital culture backed by national resources Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups Communicate with clients and educate them about care plans Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery Maintain accurate medical records Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols Promote teamwork and staff efficiency Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations Evaluate and monitor protocols for daily hospital operations from intake to discharge Attend daily rounds to ensure high standards are upheld Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels Perform other duties as assigned by management Qualifications (Required) DVM or VMD from an accredited college or university Current state veterinary license DEA registration 3+ years of experience in a veterinary practice Strong diagnostic and clinical skills Excellent surgical and dental skills Team‑oriented work style Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality veterinary care Ability to communicate effectively with all medical and hospital staff Client communication skills to elicit information, establish rapport, and provide clear explanations Confidence and reassurance when handling distressed or painful pets Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderate physically demanding work Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Advanced clinical knowledge in examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of various medical systems Problem‑solving skills related to veterinary hospital management Effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and staff Professionalism, constructive feedback, and teamwork Business acumen related to veterinary hospital management and finances Ethical decision‑making knowledge Commitment to continuing education and facilitating others’ learning Pay Range Pay: $150,000 – $180,000 USD Equal Opportunity Statement PetVet is an equal opportunity employer.
