This opportunity offers the ability to practice high-quality emergency medicine in a well-supported, remodeled Emergency Department, with strong specialty capabilities, advanced monitoring technology, and a collaborative clinical environment. Clinical & Program Details Patient Volume: 25,000 ED visits annually Specialties: Emergency Medicine Pediatrics: Emergency Department approved for pediatrics by the State of Illinois Stroke Care: Certified Stroke Center (Joint Commission) 24-hour physician coverage 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM 12 hours of NP/PA coverage ED Size: 16-bed, remodeled Emergency Department Acuity: Moderate EMR: EPIC Procedures: Full-scope emergency medicine procedures ICU: Available Admissions/Transfers: Supported by inpatient services and regional resources Qualifications Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school Licensure: Illinois medical license (or ability to obtain) Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal or Family Medicine Experience: Prior Emergency Department experience preferred Clinical Skills: Broad emergency medicine skill set appropriate for a community hospital setting Badges: BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ability to obtain) Facility & Clinical Details About Saint Anthony’s Health Center Saint Anthony’s Health Center is located in the heart of Alton, Illinois, just 25 miles north of St. Louis, Missouri.
