Casual RN - Angiography and Interventional Procedures Job Description This role involves caring for patients before, during, and after angiography, interventional, and cardiac catheterization procedures, along with other diagnostic testing. Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessments, medication administration, documentation, post-procedure care, and patient education. The RN will scrub in during procedures and assist fellow team members in the cardiac catheterization laboratory. Responsibilities Perform nursing care for cardiovascular patients undergoing catheterization and angiographic procedures. Conduct cardiac diagnostic nursing procedures, including stress echocardiograms, routine treadmill exams, and transesophageal echocardiograms. Evaluate and screen patients for safety before procedures and provide sedation monitoring in compliance with hospital policy. Operate and manage various equipment such as hemodynamic monitors and IV pumps. Scrub in for procedures alongside the physician, ensuring a collaborative approach to patient care. Maintain accurate records and develop educational materials pertaining to cardiovascular care. Assist in other radiology/cardiology procedures as needed and manage assignments effectively within the unit. Provide instruction and education to patients regarding their care and procedures. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of RN experience is required. Oncology experience is required. Recent travel work history is highly preferred. Current Skills Checklist relevant to the specialty, completed within the last year. Two Supervisory Reference Forms completed within the last two years. Active RN license in Michigan (LARA and/or Nursys documentation required). Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications. Schedule Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week. No weekends or holidays required. Why ARMStaffing?
