Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for an ICU Nurse: Join Our Dynamic Team!

Job Description:


- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) & Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)
- Alternating 3x12 day/nights
- Shift cadence may vary; work several weeks on one shift before switching


- Schedule: Every other weekend required

- Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- First-time travelers welcome!


- Required Skills:
- Medical ICU
- Telemetry
- ECMO
- CRRT

- Licenses Required:
- PA or Compact license required at time of submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required


- Experience:
- Previous charge experience is a plus
- Preferred experience with Cerner charting system

- Patient Care Details:
- Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
- Daily Census: Approximately 10 patients total
- Patient Ratios: 2:1 on day and night shifts

- Key Responsibilities:
- Accessing and managing ports
- Arterial line management
- Assisting with chest tube insertion/removal
- Managing BiPAP/CPAP
- Administering blood products
- Care of patients on ECMO and ventilated patients
- Central line care/management
- Monitoring CVP and arterial blood gases
- IV medication administration and management
- Perform suctioning for patients requiring respiratory support

- Supportive Environment:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services
- Work with rapid response teams, social services, and pharmacy

- Special Procedures:
- CRRT and prone positioning
- Manage patients with complex diagnoses such as sepsis, renal failure, and respiratory failure

- Travel Requirements:
- Must be willing to float within the facility
- Must be over 50 miles from the submitted facility based on driver's license
