The Machine Operator will support the mission by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery used in our pack area. What You’ll Be Responsible For Ensure that automated machinery used in the farm is running smoothly, efficiently and effectively - optical sorter, scaling, bench movement systems Fine tune automated systems to achieve accurate task execution Communicating across departments to sync task priorities Trouble shooting system errors, communicate with maintenance when necessary Facilitating the training for machinery when needed Occasionally provides direction to the teams Following all GMPs to ensure continuous safety and efficiency Reporting all possible deficiencies or practices to Supervisor that could compromise food safety Other duties as assigned Dry, clean, and quiet Repetitive motion throughout the shift Standing or walking for a long duration of time Crouching and kneeling Lifting up to 50lbs What You Bring Mechanical aptitude with automated systems Detail and quality oriented Understanding of safe food handling practices Adaptability to fast-paced environment and quickly evolving processes 1+ years of experience working in a Machine Operator role Agriculture, science, and/or food production background a plus Working at 80 Acres Farms At 80 Acres Farms , we believe taking care of our people is just as important as taking care of our plants.
