Position Overview We are seeking a Director, Borrower Marketing for our real estate lending business, with direct responsibility for generating qualified leads and increasing engagement with existing clients.
The Director, Borrower Marketing sits at the intersection of brand, lifecycle marketing, and demand generation, translating Arixa's market positioning into measurable client engagement and revenue impact. This role requires a strong hands-on writer who can develop the messaging, narratives, and thought leadership that power our marketing programs.
The role will actively design and execute marketing programs-including thought leadership, newsletters, social media, marketing collateral, and conference/events-to increase awareness of Arixa's lending solutions and drive new and repeat business. Success in this role depends on the ability to articulate complex lending concepts in a simple, credible, and persuasive way for borrowers.
The role works closely with Loan Originators, ensuring marketing strategy aligns with real world sales, client touchpoints, and relationship driven growth. Success in this role is defined by increased lead flow and deeper client engagement. The ideal candidate has experience in lending, fintech, or complex financial services. Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities The Director, Borrower Marketing is an LA-based based position on a hybrid schedule with at least two (2) days in-office. This position will report to the Senior Vice President, Marketing. While not an exhaustive list, the Director, Borrower Marketing will be responsible for:
Lead Generation
The Director of Marketing executes marketing programs that generate interest in Arixa's lending solutions across existing and new markets. This includes:
- Executing lead generation programs across digital channels, content, events, and partnerships
- Supporting geographic and segment expansion through targeted market messaging
- Establishing visibility into where leads are generated and how they are converted by the Loan Origination team to optimize marketing programs
Lifecycle Marketing
The role is accountable for building a structured lifecycle marketing approach that reflects how Arixa clients engage over time. This includes:
- Designing marketing strategies for key lifecycle stages, including new client onboarding, active loan periods, loan payoff, and re engagement
- Establishing clear messaging and program intent for first time borrowers, repeat clients, and lapsed relationships
- Creating consistent, relevant communications that reinforce Arixa's expertise and ongoing value
Content & Messaging
The Director of Borrower Marketing is directly responsible for creating and owning Arixa's borrower-facing messaging and content. This includes:
- Developing messaging frameworks and core narratives that support lead generation, lifecycle marketing, and sales conversations
- Drafting borrower communications, including newsletters, whitepapers, marketing collateral, and event communications
- Maintaining consistency of voice, tone, and positioning across all channels
Success in This Role Looks Like
- Predictable flow of marketing sourced and marketing influenced leads
- Documented lifecycle marketing strategy actively in use
- Loan Originators relying on Marketing as a driver of deal flow
- Improved engagement among current clients and lapsed relationships Education and Experience - Degree from a college or university with an emphasis in Advertising, Marketing, or related field
- 8-10+ years of marketing experience, preferably in lending, fintech, or complex financial services
- Strong content creation skills, spanning digital, thought leadership, and marketing collateral
- Proven experience building demand generation and lifecycle marketing programs
- Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize and execute in fast-paced environment
- Comfortable partnering with origination/sales teams to drive business growth
- Knowledge of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce and Pardot Compensation This position is exempt, full-time, with salary range: $125K - $150K , plus discretionary bonus potential. Benefits This position is eligible for the following benefits:
• Annual discretionary bonus program.
• Medical, dental and vision insurance.
• 401K with Safe Harbor contribution.
• Two weeks (ten days) paid time away excluding sick time.
• Six sick days.
• Ten paid holidays
