Veterinarian

Veterinarian - Village Veterinary Clinic Location: Lompoc, CA Position: Associate DVM - Full-time (Monday-Friday, 4-10 or 5-8 shifts, rotating on‑call). Associate DVM with 5+ years of experience and robust surgery and clinical skills. Emphasis on small‑animal services with exposure to large animals and exotics; pocket‑pet experience preferred. Responsibilities Perform routine and advanced small‑animal procedures, dentistry, internal medicine, and emergency services. Provide veterinary care for livestock and exotics as needed. Engage in client education, communicate effectively, compassionately, and respectfully. Collaborate with a 6‑doctor team and RVT support staff to deliver comprehensive care. Participate in rotating on‑call services. Maintain and contribute to an AAHA‑accredited hospital environment. Qualifications Licensed or able to obtain a California veterinary license. At least 5 years of veterinary experience, with solid surgery and clinical skills. Comfortable with small‑animal medicine and open to other special interests. Reliable, compassionate, team‑player, and confident in dynamic settings. Driven to continue education and client communication skills. Ability to obtain DEA license. Preferred Experience with pocket pets and small‑animal practice. Previous work in a multi‑species environment, including livestock and exotics.
