Bilingual Medical Assistant – Spanish/English

Maxx Life Health Care – McDonough, GA

Maxx Life Health Care is seeking a dependable, energetic, and professional Bilingual Medical Assistant who is fluent in both Spanish and English to join our growing healthcare team.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent patient communication, and the ability to help Spanish-speaking patients feel comfortable and fully understand their care. This position will work closely with our medical providers and may also assist the front office when needed.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs
• Review and update medications, allergies, and medical history
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Assist providers during patient visits
• Perform blood draws and specimen collection as trained and permitted
• Administer injections as ordered and within scope of practice
• Perform EKGs and other basic clinical testing
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR
• Assist with prescription refill requests and route clinical messages appropriately
• Contact patients regarding appointments, referrals, and provider instructions
• Provide Spanish/English interpretation assistance for patients and staff
• Explain office procedures and instructions to Spanish-speaking patients
• Assist with patient intake and paperwork
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms
• Follow HIPAA, infection-control, and patient-safety standards
• Assist the front desk with scheduling, phones, and patient check-in when needed

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant training or previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Must be fluent in both Spanish and English
• Ability to communicate professionally in Spanish and English
• Strong clinical and patient-care skills
• Comfortable with blood draws, injections, vital signs, and basic medical procedures
• Experience using an electronic medical record (EMR) system preferred
• Strong computer and documentation skills
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Professional appearance and communication
• Ability to multitask in a busy medical office
• Strong customer-service skills
• Must maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
