Overview Family Dental Group is looking for a Dental Assistant in Flint, MI to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. Position Overview As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. What We Offer Competitive hourly pay $18.00-$24.00 Full-time schedule: Mon thru Thur 8-5, Fri 8-4 Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability benefits 401(k) plan Support for continuing education and professional development Modern office with advanced dental technology Responsibilities Clinical support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures. Patient care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Radiography & diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models. Compliance & safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed). Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory. Qualifications Six months on-the-job experience (with supporting documentation) X-ray certification, preferred Nitrous oxide certification is highly recommended High school diploma or equivalent Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
