Occupational Therapist - Home Health

Schedule

Day Shift: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with weekend rotation. The candidate must work on Thanksgiving and New Year's.

Assignment Details

This position requires travel to patients' homes and the use of a personal vehicle for patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Must be licensed by the State of Oregon as an Occupational Therapist.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance are required.
• Current certification in BLS.
• Graduation from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Preferred: Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional status in accordance with the physician's plan of care.
• Complete assessments and make decisions based on objective tests and measurements.
• Communicate treatment suggestions and observations with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education and direction to patients and coworkers as appropriate.
• Document all communications and treatment activity accurately and concisely.
• Adapt to emergency situations and be attentive to changes in patient conditions.
