Position Summary As a Sales Associate at The Chefs’ Warehouse, you represent the company by delivering outstanding customer service and building strong relationships with restaurants, caterers, hotels, and retail establishments. Your responsibilities include selling fine products and securing orders through a range of sales activities. Responsibilities Grow revenue by developing new business opportunities and expanding existing accounts. Build a customer portfolio by compiling lists of prospective accounts from networking, directories, trade shows, and other sources. Travel throughout the assigned territory, calling on existing and prospective customers to secure orders. Showcase product value using samples, catalogs and feature highlights that fit customer needs. Quote prices and credit terms, prepare contracts, and manage contract execution. Provide delivery estimates, manage schedules, and collect timely payments. Maintain detailed records of business transactions, update expense reports, and manage account receivables. Collaborate with inside sales representatives to keep account data and literature current. Track inventory levels to align product availability with customer demand. Develop and maintain long‑term purchasing contracts rooted in trust. How to Thrive in This Role Relevant experience: 1–2 years in restaurant, food, or catering sales, or experience as a chef. Positive attitude: high energy, enthusiasm, teamwork, and resilience. Organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Self‑starter: eager to ask questions and learn new skills quickly. Education: college degree desired but not required. Leadership: foster a positive and innovative atmosphere to motivate others. Data‑driven: gather facts and figures to monitor progress. Determination: bring urgency to meet tight deadlines. Minimum Qualifications Live within commuting distance to the assigned sales area.
