DetailerJoin a leading fabricator of structural steel joist and deck building systems, known for their specification and engineering expertise across North America. The Detailer role is crucial in converting customer drawings into simple AutoCAD 2D plans, facilitating the manufacturing and delivery of the final product. This position is based in Fort Wayne, IN, supporting production from multiple manufacturing plants.ResponsibilitiesConvert customer drawings into detailed plans using AutoCAD 2D.Create manufacturing plans and coordinate internal and external project delivery.Work on 5-6 projects simultaneously at various stages of completion.Utilize a proprietary AutoCAD 2D add-in, with training provided.Collaborate with internal teams and customers to solve problems and ensure project success.Essential SkillsExperience with AutoCAD drafting in construction, building design, or a related industry.Understanding of structural loads and connections for decking design.Familiarity with design approval processes and client/fabrication plant coordination.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with joists and/or decking design.Leadership or training experience.Strong multitasking and organizational skills.Flexible mindset with a collaborative approach.Ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in drawings.Goal-oriented and results-driven.Capable of giving and receiving feedback effectively.Adaptability to company culture and values.Work EnvironmentEnjoy a casual work environment with a focus on meeting deadlines.
