What You'll Do

• Provide expert nursing care for antepartum and laboring patients
• Triage OB ED patients and monitor postpartum patients
• Circulate on C-sections and assist during labor and delivery procedures
• Administer medications such as Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Cytotec, and others
• Support postpartum hemorrhage management, including blood admin and Jada device use
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including charge nurses, RT, and hospitalist
• Document patient care accurately using EMR systems (Meditech Expanse and GE Centricity Perinatal)
• Assist with patient education and family support

What You Need

• Valid Louisiana RN license
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery/NICU setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, NRP, and FHM certifications
• Ability to handle laboring patients, perform circulating duties, and manage postpartum care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

About the Assignment This assignment is at a Level 3 NICU, Birth Ready Designation, and Acute Stroke Ready Hospital with 85 licensed beds. The unit offers family-centered care, supporting antepartum and laboring patients in a caring, team-oriented environment. Orientation includes hospital onboarding and two unit shifts, ensuring a smooth transition into the team.
