Fullstack AI Engineer – Remote working (Europe / USA based)

Our client, a US based pioneering cybersecurity platform startup, is seeking a highly skilled fullstack engineer with a deep technical background and hands-on experience in building AI-powered solutions. The role offers the opportunity to own the entire AI integration lifecycle— from data collection and API call management to delivering actionable insights through an intuitive UI. This is a fast-paced, product-oriented environment where ownership, rapid iteration, and direct customer feedback are key. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in integrating large language models (LLMs) or agentic AI into security products, bringing innovation to a high-growth setting with a focus on reliability and performance.

Role Description

This position involves developing and deploying advanced AI features within a cybersecurity application, ensuring seamless integration of AI services with the existing platform. The engineer will handle data aggregation, API communications, user interface creation, and operational monitoring, all while maintaining high standards of reliability and user experience. Collaborating closely with customers, the role emphasizes rapid iteration and continuous improvement based on real-world feedback.

Technical Must Have Skills

• Extensive Fullstack Development Experience – Proven expertise in building scalable backend APIs (REST and gRPC) using Go and Python , with significant experience in JavaScript , especially React , for frontend development.
• Deep Knowledge of AI/LLM Integration – Hands-on experience deploying large language models or agentic AI endpoints within production environments, including managing authentication, retries, and error handling.
• Security Data Handling – Skilled in designing systems that extract and process relevant security context from complex data sources to feed into AI models effectively.
• UI/UX Development for Actionable Insights – Ability to craft reactive, user-friendly interfaces that translate complex AI outputs into clear, user-driven workflows.
• Performance Optimization & Monitoring – Expertise in implementing caching, observability, logs, metrics, and tracing to ensure high availability and responsiveness of AI features in a production setting.

Technical Nice to Have Skills

• Cybersecurity Domain Knowledge – Familiarity with security tools and concepts such as SIEM, Endpoint / EDR, OAuth, vulnerability management, and alert triage, to tailor AI features for security teams.
• Experience with WebSocket & Realtime Data – Ability to implement real-time updates and data visualization for security dashboards.
• AI & ML Service Integration Skills – Experience working with cloud AI services such as OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, or LlamaIndex, to enhance platform capabilities.
• Data Visualization Expertise – Proven ability to develop security-focused dashboards and visual tools that translate raw data into insights.
• Customer Engagement & Requirement Gathering – Comfort working directly with clients to refine features based on live feedback, ensuring user needs are met effectively.

Additional Functional Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ownership in previous roles, with a bias towards rapid delivery and iteration.
• Experience in startup or early-stage environments, comfortable with high ambiguity and high ownership.
• Ability to operate across the full stack, from backend services to frontend interfaces, ensuring cohesive integration.
