Caregiver Position

As a caregiver, you will provide non-medical, in-home care to seniors and individuals who need assistance. You'll create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment while offering companionship and emotional support. Each shift is one-on-one, giving you the chance to truly make a difference.

Schedule & Shifts

Full-time and part-time opportunities

Weekdays, evenings, weekends, and overnights

Day shifts range from 4–12 hours

Overnight shifts range from 9–12 hours

Shifts are available across the Greater Lansing Area, mainly in Delta Township, Grand Ledge, East Lansing, Okemos, Haslett, DeWitt — no long-distance travel required.

What You'll Do

As a Comfort Keeper, you'll do more than assist with daily tasks — you'll bring joy, companionship, and peace of mind to seniors and their families. Your responsibilities will include:

• Light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and medication reminders
• Companionship and engaging conversation
• Encourage social engagement and meaningful activities
• Personal care support: mobility, hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming if needed (training provided)
• Provide safe transportation and running errands if needed
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for clients
• Document care notes and report changes in the client's condition.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be able to pass background checks (criminal and driving record)
• Willing to submit to random drug and alcohol testing
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance
• Provide professional and personal reference check
• Ability to travel within the Greater Lansing Area
• Completion of Comfort Keepers' training and orientation program
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English for client care and documentation
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with mobility if needed

Experience

• Relevant home care experience is preferred but not required - we will train the right person!
• CNA/HHA certification is welcome, but not required
