Commercial Roofing Estimator

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial roofing and be responsible for accurately estimating costs for various roofing projects. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients. Key Responsibilities: Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for commercial roofing projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs. Site Evaluations: Conduct on-site assessments to determine project requirements, gather measurements, and assess existing conditions. Proposal Preparation: Develop and present comprehensive proposals to clients, ensuring clarity and transparency in pricing. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and sales teams to ensure project scopes and client needs are met. Bid Management: Review and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing. Documentation: Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, contracts, and correspondence related to roofing projects. Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and competitor pricing to provide accurate estimates. Client Communication: Engage with clients to discuss project details, address inquiries, and provide updates throughout the estimation process. Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations in all estimates and proposals. Additional Tasks: Perform other related duties as assigned, which may include attending industry events, participating in training sessions, or assisting in project management. Qualifications: Proven experience as a roofing estimator or similar role in the commercial construction industry.Strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, and construction practices.Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.Relevant certifications in roofing or construction estimating.Experience with The Edge estimating software.
